Media is powerful but there are times when it has been used in a wrong way. Pictures, videos and information are manipulated in a way that they look real. Here are some fake news scandals:
London Terror Attack, Westminster: March 22, 2017
A picture of a lady wearing a hijab was circulated which read how she was indifferent to the victims of the attack. The lady released a statement on how devastated she was after the attack and was stunned at how she was being blamed for her behaviour.
The account that shared the picture turned out to be a Russian bot by the name of @SouthLoneStar. Twitter suspended the account in the month of November.
