For example, flying insects appear to move with unpredictable directional changes, causing it hard to foretell the trajectories for predators.

**Finance**

The random move hypothesis suggests that the value of assets on the unified market changes arbitrarily, in the context that their change’s expected value is zero, but the actual value turning out either good or bad. More broadly, asset prices are affected by several unforeseeable changes in the general economic setting.

**Information science**

The ability to generate random numbers equally is vital for electronic gaming and, as such, the methods used to create them are typically supervised by the Government Gaming Control Boards. Natural draws are also used to decide the winners of the lottery. Besides, randomness has been used for gambling throughout history, and to pick individuals for unwanted tasks in a reasonable manner.
